Cool down

We received quite a bit of rain over the last couple days. Raising the lake level a bit. Flows look to be around the 35 megawatt mark in the morning then raising for a few hours then dropping back down until Monday. Then it looks like higher flows in the morning then trending down. A cold front will be moving in at the start of next week lowering the temps. Fishing wise nymphing still remains the technique of choice. Playing with depth and weight can be the difference between finding fish and not. Fly patterns we have been using are ruby midges sz18, super midge in silver sz16-18, pink and red worms, rainbow sow bugs in sz14-16, leggy pheasant tails sz14-16. If it happens to be over cast during the bigger flows. Small to medium streamers could bring to hand some fish. Hope everyone gets to hit the water this week. Tight lines from everyone at Ozark Fly Co.
